The Edge

In 2013 I spent five months in Turkey. In the end of my stay I travelled around the country together with my boyfriend after four months of separation. We hitch-hiked around 5000km. Our travel coincided with the uprising against the prime minister Erdoğan. The remote places we travelled and people we met didn’t pay attention to protests. Nothing much changed in their lives and as thousands of travellers that had stopped by those places we were always treated with hospitality on steroids. The biggest struggle was being fought within and between us.
